European conference in Cyprus

From 29 till 30 September I was invited by the European commission to a European conference: ‘Diversity in small and medium-sized enterprises’.

You see conferences can also be fun

So this was my business. The congress had place in a wonderful environment in Cyprus. We were overwhelmed by the efforts done by our host.
We were with a very diverse team over 100 people with divers expectations. But it was very clear that having a diversity management in a small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) is a must.
Knowing that there are 23 million SME’s in the EU that provides around 75 million jobs that means that there is work to do as a diversity manager.

I also want to mention that I was proud to represent Flanders where ,despite the extreme right political party (witch gives us a bad image in the world), we already do a lot around diversity in SME’s.
